“Hipsters, Hustlers, and Handball Players”

See Leon Levenstein's photographs at the Metropolitan Museum of art, up through October 17th. I love the humanity he captures in his photographs.  He was slammed in the New York times review of his work, all of which I find interesting. In a nutshell, his review found the work to literal, capturing odd ball characters instead of the hidden human moments detected only by the trained eye. Where there is art, there is always a critic.
